If your cars brake pedal goes all the way to the floor you either have a brake fluid leak or your brake fluid is low.

Another cause is your brake calipers leaking or going bad or your brakes wheel cylinders are going bad or your brakes master cylinder that is attached to your brake pedal is going bad.

A brake pedal going all the way to the floor is not a good thing and it's not safe to drive with the bad brakes.

If you've worked on the brakes such as replacing a brake line, brake calipers or you replaced brake pads and did not bleed the brakes of air then that can cause a brake pedal to go to the floor.

Either way something is wrong with your brakes and it should be checked out.

If you lose your brakes while going down the road you should use your emergency brake to slow the vehicle down and stop it.

However get the regular brakes fixed.

Make sure to check your brake fluid level and ensure it's full and if it keeps going down then something is wrong and you have a brake fluid leak somewhere.

Look under the car for any brake fluid leaks around the brake calipers, brake lines, brake hoses, wheel cylinders etc.

if you notice any brake fluid leaking it needs to be fixed before it gets worse and you get into a car wreck that can injure you or kill you or someone else.
