The Heimlich maneuver is named after the DR who came up with the Heimlich maneuver as a way to stop someone from choking and if done right and quick enough the Heimlich maneuver does work.

Peter Heimlich is the founder of the Heimlich maneuver which is also known as abdominal thrusts.

Everyone should know how to do the Heimlich maneuver and especially if you have kids.

I've had to use the Heimlich maneuver on a strangers 6 year old boy at a Mcdonald's where he was choking.

Nobody in there knew how to do the Heimlich maneuver but luckily I was there and was able to perform the Heimlich maneuver also known as abdominal thrust.

I was taught how to do the Heimlich maneuver in 2nd grade and I'm glad I learned it.
