When a tooth is loose and it's gonna fall out the loose tooth is usually loose for around a few days to a few weeks before it falls out.

If it's a baby tooth that has become loose then the baby tooth will usually be loose for a few days to up to a week before it falls out.

If the baby tooth is loose enough then you might be able to pull out the baby tooth but if it's not loose enough then don't pull it out.

Some adults may have a loose tooth due to injury and it may not ever fall out and you don't want to pull the tooth unless the tooth has an infection.

And in that case a dentist should be the one to pull your loose tooth.

There's no need though to pull out baby teeth as they will naturally fall out eventually and the child should not choke on it.

Even if they swallow the tooth which is rare the tooth should not choke them.
