We can see our dreams when our eyes are closed because the dream is in our brain.

We are basically seeing what happened before in our lives or what may happen in the future.

The brain is actually what processes what our eyes see and what we are seeing in our brain is already in our brain and not coming through our eyes.

Even blind people can see in their dreams.

The human eyes are just receptors for vision and help us see what we do so see but it's our brains that actually process that vision.

Our brain actually 'sees' whatever we see, eyes are just receptors for vision.

If we were to cut the connection between eyes and visual cortex in brain, or if there is damage to visual cortex in brain, a person would be blind despite having absolutely normal eyes!

Same way, even if someone has lost his eyes, he can 'see' things if visual cortex is stimulated artificially.

During dreams our eyes are not transmitting new information to brain.

It's just brain that takes up bits and parts from memory stores and 'sees' it as dreams.
