Training pants can hinder potty training for some kids.

However as long as you keep reminding the toddler to go potty then the training pants should not cause any problems with potty training.

I've potty trained my 3 year old son with regular diapers and they didn't hinder the potty training either.

The diapers are cheaper than training pants and training pants are just pull on diapers.

I just put the diaper on my 3 year old a little looser than normal so he could pull the diaper down and pull the diaper back on.

I reminded him that the diaper was just in case he didn't make it to the bathroom and to pull the diaper down and go to the toilet.

Eventually he learned to go to the toilet and after 6 months of wearing the diapers he was able to go without them.

Once he was able to keep a diaper dry for a week I stopped putting him in diapers in the day.

At night he still needed to wear diapers though because of bed wetting which is normal
