Chicken is not as bad for cholesterol as other meats such as steak, beef, hamburger meat, bacon etc.

However chicken can still sometimes be bad for cholesterol especially if you eat too much chicken when you already suffer from high cholesterol levels.

Eating chicken in moderation though is okay even for those people who suffer from high cholesterol but if you deep fry the chicken then it becomes less healthy for your health and cholesterol levels.

It's best to bake chicken, boil chicken or just grill the chicken when you want to eat chicken when you have high cholesterol.

The signs and symptoms of bad cholesterol are chest pain, angina, extreme fatigue, nausea, pain in your neck, jaw, upper back or abdomen.

Other signs and symptoms of bad cholesterol are shortness of breath and numbness or coldness in your extremities.

Having bad cholesterol levels can cause heart attacks, strokes and heart disease because If your arteries that supply your heart with blood (coronary arteries) are affected, you might have chest pain (angina) and other symptoms of coronary artery disease.

A normal and healthy cholesterol level by age and for those 20 years and older is 125 mg/dL to 200 mg/dL.

The 125 mg/dL to 200 mg/dL cholesterol levels are for both men and woman 20 years old and older.

Your cholesterol levels may be slightly higher or lower but if your cholesterol levels are too high then it can lead to heart disease, heart attacks, strokes etc.

You need to make sure your cholesterol levels are kept at healthy levels.

Otherwise you could suffer from heart disease, strokes and can become unhealthy.

Have your doctor check your cholesterol levels when needed to keep tabs on the cholesterol levels.

As if your cholesterol levels do get too high then you can do things to lower your cholesterol levels.

Eating healthy and avoiding too much fried foods can also help lower your cholesterol levels and keep your cholesterol levels at the correct levels.
