When you have your old car tires replaced the tire shop will keep the old tires and then send them off to a tire recycling place.

The tire recycling place that picks up the old car tires takes them to a recycling plant where the tires are put into a tire shredding machine.

The shredded tires are then used in playgrounds, making rubber mats, making other rubber based products and even sometimes for mixing in with roads when they repave roads.

Also some places just throw old tires in landfills where there are no tire recycling places in those locations.

Some factories even use the used tires as fuel in the factories which is another good way to recycle tires and get a different use out of them.

If the tires are good enough to be used again then a tire place will sell the used tires to someone for a cheaper price than new.

Not all tire places sell used tires but some do.

If you have no tire recycling facilities near you then you can just throw them in a dumpster and then they will be taken to the landfill or sorted and disposed of some other way.
