I have a truck that also was hard to start up when the engine is warm.

Turns out the problem was a bad ignition coil that when hot would produce less voltage and make it harder for the engine to start.

Eventually it got bad enough to where the engine would start and then die and then it would run really rough.

I replaced the ignition coil which was only one on this truck and it has started up just fine and runs fine after replacing the ignition coil.

Some trucks and vehicles have one ignition coil and some of them have more than one and sometimes all or part of the ignition coils could be failing.

Also my truck sometimes has an issue in really hot weather when my gas tank is full and it will sometimes fail to start if the temperature outside is 100 F or higher.

The problem I found out was and is Vapor Lock in the fuel lines and fuel tank where the engine is not getting enough fuel.

Sometimes venting the cap or waiting a few minutes helps and the truck starts up.

If it's not the ignition coil or vapor lock then it could be a bad ignition module or even bad fuel injector.

It's normal though for some vehicles to experience vapor lock in really hot temperatures which can make an engine hard to start or fail to start at all.

I carry a can of starting fluid with me in case I need to spray some down the throttle body to get the engine started which I do need to do sometimes.
