When I change my toddlers diaper I usually wait for 3 to 4 hours during the day to change his diaper.

He's 2 years old so he sometimes holds his pee in for at least an hour or at least 30 minutes and then pees all at once.

Usually he can go 3 times of peeing in the same diaper before it gets full enough to need changed.

Disposable diapers are really absorbent now and they never feel wet in their diaper unless they are soaked to the point of leaking.

At night you should change the diaper before bed and then if they are a heavy wetter you may need to change the toddlers or babies diaper through the night at least once.

When I've changed my toddlers diaper even when it's really full I feel his skin and he's never wet and I can even touch the inside of the diaper with my hand and it's not wet.

There's no need to change a toddlers or babies diaper just for one or two pees and it's okay to wait until the diaper is full.

But if the diaper has poop then change it right away as soon as you notice although it's best to wait for 5 to 10 minutes to be sure the kid has finished pooping.

Most babies and toddlers do need a diaper change every 2 to 3 hours but some older toddlers may go as long as 4 to 6 hours between diaper changes in the day because when they get older they tend to wet less and some kids only pee every 1 to 2 hours.

Just wait until the diaper is full of pee and then you can change it.

Unless we're leaving the house and the diaper is half full then I change him so he has a fresh diaper and we don't have to worry about the diaper leaking pee.
