Which is cheaper and more energy efficient turning on the central heater furnace or using electric space heaters?

It would be more energy effective and energy efficient to just run your central heating than it would be to run space heaters.

Space heaters use a lot of electricity as much as 15 cents per hour per heater. If you run more than one electric heater your electric bill could cost you $300.00 per month.

And you will still not be very warm with just the space heaters. They're okay to use in an emergency such as if your central heat went out and you're waiting to get it fixed. Otherwise if you have central heat especially gas central heat then it's best to use the central heat.

You can close off registers to unused rooms to save money on your heating bills.
