Why do many people hate Barney The Dinosaur?

I quite like Barney the dinosaur and just found out many people hate him by seeing comments in the comment section of a Barney the Dinosaur youtube video.

I always loved Barney As a child.

Why do people hate him so much?

I loved him as a kid. But now can't stand him for some reason.

I guess some people just grow up fully and don't like certain shows anymore.

It's great that you enjoy it still though.
