Do Electric Companies Report Delinquent Accounts to Credit Bureaus?

If you leave an unpaid balance with an electric company do they report the unpaid balance to the credit Bureaus and will it affect your credit score?

Yes the electric companies do report delinquent electric accounts and amount owed to collections.
If you have an electric bill that you're having trouble paying then contact the electric company to work out pay arrangements to avoid getting shut off or if you have it shut off already then work with them and try to pay something to them to avoid the electric account getting sent to collections.

Once it gets sent to collections then it puts a ding on your credit score.
