When you file a dispute with the bank for a refund of your money it can take around 4 to 5 days for the bank to make a decision on the refund of the money.
Then if the refund is going to happen the bank can take another 3 days to actually refund you the money.
So if you file a charge back dispute for a debit card purchase then it can take up to a week and sometimes in rare cases 2 weeks to see your money refunded to you.
The bank has to allow the merchant time to dispute the charge back as well and sometimes the merchant will win the case and the charge back will not happen.
So it takes awhile for the money to get refunded back to you once you file a charge back dispute.
I've had it take up to 2 weeks to see money refunded to my bank account after I disputed a transaction.
