Yes shoebill storks are aggressive when they need to be.

Shoebill Storks do not take no for an answer and will defend themselves and even Shoebill Storks will defend themselves against Crocodiles if they need too.

However if the Shoebill Stork is left alone and not bothered then the Shoebill Stork will not be aggressive towards you.

If you keep your distance from the Shoebill Storks when observing them they will mind their own business and will not attack you.

I've been near Shoebill Storks and they just looked at me and went on about their day doing what they were doing.

The Shoebill Stork will only get aggressive and attack when it needs too.
