Terror Birds went extinct around 2.5 million years ago which was a long time ago.
That 2.5 million years ago is an estimate as we don't know for sure 100 percent on the date that the terror birds did go extinct unless you were around at the time and if you were you would be dead for a long time as well.
2 million years is a long time and now it's estimated that it's been 2 and 1/2 million years ago and it's almost been 3 million years ago soon.
Dinosaurs along with the terror birds have thankfully been extinct for millions of years.
The gasoline and oil we use now is derived from those dead dinosaurs and birds.
However actually there are still dinosaurs around such as Chickens and other birds but at least they are not the large dinosaurs of all those years ago that roamed the earth.
