Sometimes your brain can recover from brain damage due to lack of oxygen.

But it depends on how badly damaged your brain was damaged due to the lack of oxygen.

If your brain was just slightly damaged by a lack of oxygen for a short while then your brain can usually recover fully.

However if your brain suffered severe damage from lack of oxygen then your brain will never recover and sometimes you can be in a vegetable state.

Some people suffer mental health issues when they have suffered brain damage from lack of oxygen.

So it's critical to get oxygen into someone when they stop breathing or have trouble breathing.

Because not only will death set in the brain can also die off and cause you to lose the ability to talk properly, think properly, take care of yourself etc.

The first sign of hypoxia is usually confusion, fatigue, anxiety and restlessness.

Hypoxia occurs when there's not enough oxygen in your bloodstream and you need the proper amount of oxygen in your bloodstream to keep your brain healthy, give you energy and give you enough energy.

Hypoxia is a serious medical emergency and you can die from hypoxia if you don't get treated soon enough.

When your body cannot get enough oxygen your brain cells start dying and then brain damage can occur quickly and then after the brain cells die then your other body organs start shutting down.

Hypoxia is really quickly fatal and requires medical attention right away.

If you think you or someone is about to experience hypoxia call for an ambulance and get medical help right away.

Several things can cause your bodies oxygen level to drop such as low oxygen levels in the air you breathe, lung issues that make it hard for your lungs to breathe in enough oxygen.

Your lungs take in the air and circulate oxygen through your bloodstream and sometimes your lungs can have issues and make it hard for the lungs to provide enough oxygen through your blood.

Being a smoker damages your lungs as well and cause cause low oxygen levels.

Low oxygen levels can be dangerous if the oxygen levels in your body get way too low.

The normal oxygen level reading should be between and in a range of 75 to 100 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg)

If your oxygen level drops slightly below that level then there's likely not a serious health issue and you likely have nothing to worry about.

But when your oxygen levels get way too low then it can cause serious health issues and may even cause death and brain damage.

If you think your oxygen levels are too low then you need to see a doctor or go to urgent care for treatment to get your oxygen levels back up.

You may need to use oxygen to breathe properly if your oxygen levels drop way too low or stay too low.

Oxygen levels can sometimes drop a little which is normal but they should not drop a whole lot.
