Sciatica is back pain caused by the Sciatica nerve. The Sciatica nerve is a large nerve that runs from the lower back down to the back of your leg.
If something happens to put pressure or injure the Sciatica nerve it can cause back pain which can spread to the buttocks, hip and legs.
