Chicken coops can attract snakes to your property.

If you have chickens and there are snakes in your area then you should be prepared to possibly deal with snakes and other rodents.

Snakes are attracted to chicken coops because of the chicken feed that they will try to eat.

The snakes may also try to attack your chickens and kill them as well.

To keep snakes away from your chicken coop you can soak rags in ammonia and place them around the chicken coop.

Snakes really hate the smell of ammonia and will stay away from any area where ammonia is.

So you can also use ammonia soaked rags to keep snakes away from other places as well.
