Swelling from a sunburn is normal and nothing to worry about.

Not all sunburns will swell but some sunburns do swell and it's normal.

Mostly more severe sunburns swell but even smaller less severe sunburns can swell.

Sunburns can cause the skin to become red and sensitive and soaking in a cool tub of water can help ease the sunburn and swelling.

Taking aspirin can help keep the sunburn from getting too painful.

putting sunscreen on a sunburn can actually make the sunburn worse and make the sunburn take longer to heal.

However if you put sunscreen that contains Zinc Oxide on the sunburn it may help with the swelling and pain.

The thing to do is to prevent sunburn by applying plenty of sunscreen when you're gonna be out in the sun for too long.

But if you've already got sunburn on your skin you can apply some Aloe Vera Gel to the sunburn and take aspirin to help with the pain.

Also consider soaking in a cool bath as the cool bath can help to soothe the sunburn you have and help it heal much faster.

Most sunburns go away on their own within a few weeks to a month depending on how severe the sunburn is.

Some other natural home remedies to get rid of sunburn are to apply some oatmeal, milk or even honey to the sunburn.

Or apply some ice using an ice pack which can help soothe and cool down the sunburn and also help with swelling.
