Paper towels are not made or meant to be flushed down the toilet and if you flush paper towels down your toilet you could end up with a clogged toilet or clogged sewer line that needs cleaned out.
I have however used toilet paper for wiping my butt after pooping when I ran out of toilet paper and have flushed a small amount of toilet paper down the toilet at a time.
I flushed a few times to help clear the paper towels out of the toilet and sewer line.
I just didn't want to put paper towels in the trash can that had poop on them.
I normally do not flush paper towels down the toilet but will sometimes and I never had an issue doing so.
But just be aware that you could clog your sewer line or toilet depending on the condition of your sewer line.
If you have bad sewer pipes then I would not recommend flushing the paper towels.
