Yes we can hear silence.
The silence is the absence of sounds which we can hear but then we don't hear anything but that is a good thing.
However during silence you might also hear wind blowing or trees moving or a bird chirp but then that breaks the silence.
It's so nice to go camping at least every few weekends where there's nobody around and all I hear is silence.
It's just so relaxing.
I also work from home and will go out to a campsite that we have here that is free and usually not many people are around on the workdays and it makes for a relaxing place to do my work from my laptop.
I blog for a living and I do my best blog posts sitting out at the picnic table at the secluded campsite.
It's so nice and relaxing.
Silence can be heard but the silence cannot be seen, tasted, smelled, or felt.
Being able to hear silence is the successful perception of an absence of sound.
