Why does FedEx Smartpost take so long to deliver packages?

When FedEx smart post is delivering packages they take so darn long to ship the packages out.

I have been tracking a FedEx Package that I am waiting on which I need as a part of my vehicle and it's been stuck in the FedEx LA Smart Pot facility for 3 days now and it hasn't updated to say it moved on from their.

With normal FedEx I get packages within 3 days but with FedEx Smart Post it is taking around 10 days to get the package.

FedEx Smart Post is not smart and should not be used.

FedEx Smart Post should be named FedEx Dumb Post.

I agree FedEx Smartpost is awful when it comes to getting packages shipped through them.

I've had it take up to 14 days to get some diapers ordered from Ebay for my 2 year old son when the diapers were shipped through FedEx Smartpost.

If I had known that it was gonna take 14 days to get the diapers I would've ordered the diapers through Amazon instead which gets them to me within 2 days at most.

The diapers I needed within a few days for my 2 year old because he was running out of diapers and only had enough diapers to last him 3 days at most.

So I had to go to the store and buy him some diapers there.

I eventually got the diapers I ordered 14 days later but if someone is shipping diapers to you that you order they should realize that the diapers are gonna be needed quick and most people cannot wait 14 days to get a shipment of diapers for their kid.

I hear that FedEx Smartpost waits until they get enough packages onto a pallet or into a bin to deliver them onto the next truck.

I'm not sure if that is true but it sure seems like it.

The diapers I ordered sat at a FedEx smartpost facility for up to 3 days before it left the facility.

That is too dang long for shipping.

I would've gladly paid extra for shipping had I known it was gonna take too long.

FedEx Smartpost takes so long because the package has to go through FedEx and then through USPS to deliver to you.

Also the FedEx smartpost packages go on trucks that may go way into another state and then come back to your state on indirect routes to deliver the package.

I've had FedEx Smartpost packages go 500 miles away from my location after it's arrived and then come back a few days later.

FedEx Smartpost takes longer to deliver packages because it uses a combination of FedEx and USPS services, which can slow down the process. This method is cost-effective but not the fastest option available. For quicker deliveries, consider using standard FedEx services or FedEx Canada for shipments within the country. Smartpost is ideal for people looking to save on shipping costs, but patience is required. It's a trade-off between cost and speed.
