It's normal for 2 year old boys to fight diaper changes because they may just hate having the diaper changed and want to do something else.
It could also mean that the 2 year old is ready to use the toilet and does not want to wear diapers anymore.
If your 2 year old continues fighting diaper changes you should try introducing them to the toilet and tell them that if they use the toilet they won't need to have their diaper changed anymore.
If that does not work then you'll just have to pin them down and change their diaper.
My husband made a changing mat out of plywood and put seat belts on it so that I could strap my son down to change his diaper.
It kept his arms and body still so I could change the diaper.
I hated going that route but he has to have his diaper changed.
Eventually he stopped fighting diaper changes because he knew he would get strapped down to that device.
He then decided to get the diaper change done without a problem.
Some kids just like to test your patience and love getting a reaction out of the parents and eventually the 2 year old will stop fighting diaper changes.
The best age to potty train a boy is between 2 to 3 years old.
The actual age that a boy is ready to potty train though depends entirely on the kid as some kids potty train early than others and others potty train later.
Each kid is different and no kid potty trains at the same age so if you try potty training the boy at 2 years old and they are not really interested then just stop with the potty training and wait another 6 months and put them back in diapers and try again.
Or wait until they are 3 years old and try to potty train them again them.
I would not worry about the kid wearing diapers full time and not using the toilet until the kid was at least 4 years old or 4 and a 1/2.
I knew one kid who refused to use the toilet until he was 8 years old.
He would throw a fit and his mom just let him wear the diapers as it was easier for him to wear diapers and her change his diapers than to deal with the tantrums.
He finally after his 8th birthday decided that he wanted to use the toilet even though he still wore the diapers to bed for bed wetting he was wearing underwear in the day and decided he was too big or too embarrassed to wear diapers in the day.
But most kids are out of diapers in the day well before 5 years old.
So that is a rare cases.
A child taking off his or her diaper is sometimes a sign of the child being ready to potty train.
However just because a child is taking off their diaper it does not mean the child is actually ready to potty train or even interested in potty training.
Some toddlers take their diapers off just because they can and they still may not want to use the toilet and will continue to pee or poop their pants without the diaper.
If the child is around 2 years old and taking their diaper off then it would be good to introduce them to the potty but don't force the issue.
Some kids are not ready to use the toilet until 3 to 4 years of age which is okay and normal.
If the toddler or child is taking their diaper off but won't use the toilet then you can put packing tape or duct tape around their diaper to keep them from removing the tabs.
Also put a pair of pajamas on them such as footy pajamas and put them on backwards and use a safety pin in the zipper to help keep the pajamas on.
