Yes cycling daily or just cycling anytime is a good workout for training for hiking.

When I began hiking I started cycling more as I already was cycling quite a bit for exercise and fun anyway but when I started cycling more my strength built up and it made it easier for me to hike as a beginner.

Hiking and cycling are both great exercise and fun as well.

Hiking and walking are similar but the difference between hiking and walking is that with walking you just go walking down the street, road etc.

With walking there's usually no obstacles to overcome when walking but with hiking you usually go down trails that could have inclines, rocks etc and other obstacles to overcome.

Hiking is a bit more difficult than simply walking.

You can burn off as much as 400 calories in just 1 hour of moderate hiking.

I lost 100 lbs of weight hiking every Saturday for 1 hour each Saturday and it was a fun time as well.
