Some people have gotten bigger legs and leg muscles when hiking often enough.

However some people don't see any increase in the leg muscles size from hiking which is also normal.

It depends on how often you hike and how much you hike as hiking does help improve your leg strength as well as help keep your blood flowing as well.

Hiking can also prevent heart disease, heart attacks, strokes etc.
