Small town living can be a nice thing because most small towns are pretty quiet and you don't have to worry about hearing a bunch of sirens, hear a bunch of honking, deal with smog etc.
However living in a small town can also be bad.
I live in a small town and I both love the small town and also hate the small town.
The bad things about the small town I hate are it's boring at times, teenagers doing bad things because they are bored, having to drive into a larger town or city to go shopping.
We have just a small gas station here which is nice and I do buy all my gasoline here because the gas station owner is struggling and he's really nice and I do buy a few groceries from him as well as things like toilet paper when I can afford to do so.
But it's more expensive than going into town to buy those things.
If you get bored easily than you may not want to live in a small town but for some people that are retired living in a small town may be okay.
Also for the boring part if you have teenagers living in the small town the small town boring life can lead to them getting into trouble and doing bad things such as vandalism.
Vandalism in my small town happens quite a bit in the summer months when the kids and teens are off of school and are bored.
The police do nothing about it though and although we have an ordinance for the teens and minors to be in their yard or in the house when the streetlights come on it doesn't always happen and you get some parents that allow their kids to do whatever they want to do.
Me I want to move out of my small town in around 5 or 10 years hopefully.
I just need to find the perfect place.
