Too calm a toothache at home you can try sucking on ice, applying a warm tea bag, or warm compress to the tooth or use some orajel numbing agent.

I've used a hot tea bag by making some hot tea with the tea bag and then while the tea bag was still hot I would place it between the teeth that is aching.

The heat from the hot tea bag helped to calm the toothache.

Sucking on ice also helps calm a toothache and also gargling with warm salt water or gargling with some apple cider vinegar can help get rid of bacteria in the mouth and help ease and calm the toothache.

You can also help calm a toothache by taking anti inflammatory medicine or aspirin which helps within about 20 to 30 minutes.

If the toothache continues longer than a few days you could have a severe tooth infection and need to see a dentist.

You can also use garlic to calm a toothache by chewing on a piece of garlic using the affected tooth.

Chewing on the garlic will release allicin that kills bacteria that causes tooth aches and tooth infections.
