If your vehicle has under 150,000 miles then regular oil is just fine for your engine.

But once your vehicle goes over 150,000 miles then that is considered high mileage on the engine and vehicle and then your engine will do better on synthetic high mileage oil.

Use of high mileage oil is a bit more expensive but in my opinion synthetic engine oil is much better for higher mileage engines.

Also synthetic oil is supposed to last 10,000 miles or more which is usually a years of driving depending on how much driving you do.

However even if my vehicle has 5,000 miles or so on it in a year of driving I still change the synthetic oil as well as the oil filter.

If i were driving the vehicle more miles I might wait.

Oil and oil filters are cheaper than a new engine or vehicle.

Bosch oil filters are good oil filters and are a good oil filter for the price.

I've used Bosch Oil Filters in the past on a few vehicles and they were good oil filters and kept the engine running good.

However Bosch Oil Filters are a bit more expensive than some other oil filters such as FRAM.

I use FRAM oil filters now and they work just as good as Bosch or any other oil filter.

If you don't change your oil or oil filter often enough then no brand of oil filter will make your engine last.

Change the oil and oil filter often enough and your engine will last a long time no matter what brand of oil filter you use.

FRAM oil filters are good oil filters.

I've used FRAM oil filters on my vehicles for years and my vehicles have a lot of miles on them.

My dad used and still uses FRAM oil filters for many years and nothing bad has happened to his engines.

As long as you change the engine oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles or so then the engine should last a long time no matter what type of oil filter you use.

I've heard bad things about FRAM oil filters but for me and my dad we've had no problems using the FRAM oil filters.

When you get the wrong oil filter for your vehicle it most likely will not fit.

Oil filters are different sizes and they have different part numbers on them and the outer size of the oil filter will be different and sometimes the threaded part will be different and make it impossible for the oil filter to fit on the vehicle.

However assuming the oil filter actually fits on the vehicle and there's no leaks then the oil filter being the wrong oil filter will work just fine.

Some smaller oil filters might fit the engine although it calls for a larger oil filter.

Your old oil filter should have numbers on it that you can use to get a new correct oil filter.

When changing your vehicles oil you have to replace the oil filter every time you change oil.

When it's time to change the oil in your vehicles engine the oil filter needs changed as well because the oil filter will become clogged or partially clogged.

Your oil filter will also contain old dirty oil and when you change your oil and not change the oil filter the old oil in the oil filter will mix with the new oil.

That is not a good thing and means your engine will get bad oil which can lead to engine bearing failure and possibly cause your engine to have a spun bearing.

Oil filters are cheap and are cheaper than a new engine or vehicle.

I always change my oil filter whenever I change oil and so do oil change places.

A good oil change place will never leave the old oil filter on.

I use FRAM oil filters on my vehicles and for my vehicles the oil filters cost less than $6.00.

That is worth the cost to keep my engine running for a long time.

I change the oil and oil filter on my vehicles engines every 3,000 to 5,000 miles and my engines have 300,000 to 500,000 miles on them.

My truck has 500,000 miles on it with the original engine and transmission and my car has 300,000 miles with the original engine and transmission.
