NO. Wasps cannot see in the dark.

When it gets dark most wasps go into hiding or back into their wasp nests and stay their until daylight unless there is some artificial light out.

I've noticed a few wasps come out of their wasps nests when I turned on my yard lights and then when my yard lights go off for the night the wasps return to their nests.

Just like humans wasps have a really hard time of seeing in the dark.

I've been stung by a wasp before at night when I was underneath my truck with my light and didn't realize that there was a wasp nest under the truck bed.

I immediately sprayed that wasp nest with some wasp spray and got rid of that nest.

Now I check the underneath of my truck often when wasps are around.
