USPS tracking says Visible Damage?

My tracking information on USPS for a package I'm waiting on says that it has visible damage?

I've never heard of this on tracking on USPS.

Does this mean that my items or item has actually been damaged or does it usually mean the package has just been damaged?

When USPS tracking says visible damage it usually just means that there is visible damage to the box or packaging the package is being shipped in.

I've had a USPS package update to say Visible Damage and when I got it the item was just fine and not damaged but the packaging was.

Basically the box that the item was shipped in had some visible damage and was torn some.

But the item itself was fine.

So I would not worry too much as it's likely just the packaging that was damaged and not the item or items themselves that was damaged.

USPS tracking that says Visible damage can mean that the package was just damaged during shipping.

In some cases the item may be damaged visibly but in most cases when USPS tracking tells you that the package has visible damage they are just referring to damage to the package.

I've had it happen to me a few times where it said visible damage and turns out the box or packaging was just torn some but the item or items in the package were just fine.
