You can skydive in the rain but it's not really safe to skydive in the rain.

Actually skydiving in the rain is against the FAA rules and regulations because the rain and clouds make it hard to see and reduces your visibility.

Visibility is very important to pilots as well as skydivers so any legit skydiving operation will not allow skydiving during rain or thunderstorms.

Of course you could go up in a private plane during the rain and skydive but you may get fined if you do get found out.

But any skydiving company I've heard of does not take you skydiving during rain or storms.

You cannot skydive in the rain as it's not allowed by the FAA.

FAA or Federal Aviation Administration requires that any skydives have to be completed in visual flight rules conditions.

You have to be able to see clearly to skydive.

If you’re planning a jump, it’s best to check with your local drop zone for their weather policies.

I've had a few jumps where the weather turned soggy, and it definitely adds a different vibe. I once had to use my javelin skydiving rig in some light rain, and it held up well. The rig's quality makes a big difference in those conditions; it feels sturdy and reliable. But overall, it’s best to check with your drop zone about their safety guidelines. Rain can affect visibility and your landing, so they might call off jumps if conditions aren’t ideal. Just be prepared for anything if you decide to go for it!
