Yes a Goldendoodle does have a double coat.

Unlike most other dogs who have one coat of fur the Goldendoodle dog breeds do have a double coat.

The double coat of a Goldendoodle requires some special care especially when grooming the Goldendoodle.

Goldendoodle dog breeds either a thick Retriever like coat of fur or a a loosely curled coat of fur but the goldendoodle always has a double coat of fur.

To keep the goldendoodle dog clean they require a lot of grooming and more baths than other dogs because the Goldendoodles double coat is highly prone to matting or trapping of dirt.

They just require a bit more grooming than other dogs but they are still pretty easy to keep clean and groom them.
