Most homeowners insurance policies will cover bathroom leaks if the leak was sudden and caused enough damage to the bathroom or other part of the home.

For example if you were gone for a day and the toilet overflowed or you had a pipe burst in the bathroom such as on the toilet, sink etc and the water flooded the bathroom and damaged the bathroom and other parts of the house then homeowners insurance will usually pay for the repairs for the water damage from the water leaks in the bathroom.

However if you have a leaking drain pipe, leaking water pipe etc that is slowly leaking and you have failed to repair it before it damages the home then homeowners insurance will usually not pay for those repairs.

If you do have a small water leak in the bathroom or any part of the house you need to get the water leak repaired so that it does not cause any more expensive damage to the home.
