Putting the wrong size tires on a car will not damage the car.

However when you put wrong size tires on a car the speedometer can be wrong by about 13 percent.

So it could underestimate your speed by about 10 to 15 MPH.

You may be driving faster than your speedometer is saying so it could get you a speeding ticket.

However other than that your car will not be harmed by using the wrong size tires.

But it's best for fuel economy to always use the right sizer tires on your vehicle because too large of tires can cause an increase in fuel consumption and too small tires may cause an increase in fuel consumption as well.

Your car will ride better and get better fuel economy if you use the correct sized tires on your car.
