It takes between 3 to 6 months to recover from hip dysplasia surgery fully.

However you should begin to recover from hip dysplasia surgery within a week or so of the surgery.

But you will need to take it easy for a few months after the surgery to allow full recovery.

After you have hip dysplasia surgery done you'll usually need to stay in the hospital for up to 7 days while the doctors observe you to make sure nothing is going wrong.

Then after 7 days the hospital will usually discharge you and let you know that you should avoid any hard work, lifting etc until you fully recover from the hip dysplasia surgery.

If you think you may be having any complications after the hip dysplasia surgery you should see your doctor or go to the hospital.

In people with dysplasia in both hips, the surgeries are performed between 4 months to six months apart.
