A human neck weighs between 2 to 3 lbs but can support a human head that weighs between 8 lbs to 11 lbs.
Of course the weight of the human neck and the weight of the human head varies depending on the age of the person and how much they weigh.
For example a toddlers head may only weigh around 1 to 2 lbs while the toddlers neck may weigh 1/2 a lb or even 1 lb.
But as you grow your head gets bigger and heavier and your neck also gets heavier and bigger as well.
But your neck is usually less in weight than your head is even though your neck has to support your head.
Your neck has to support the weight of your head even when you're not even thinking about it.
Your neck is about 15 percent of your bodies weight.
