The temperature at which polyester can melt is 482 F and above.
As long as you keep the dryer temperature below 482 F or use the cool setting on your dryer the polyester will not melt.
It's best to either dry polyester outside on a clothesline or use the cool setting on your dryer to dry the polyester without melting it.
If you do use the heat setting to dry polyester use the coolest dryer heat setting if possible.
Some dryers may not have a temperature setting on the heat side but some do.
If your dryer only has a heat and cool side then use the cool setting on the clothes dryer when drying polyester.
