Getting shot in the shoulder is not as serious as getting shot in the head or heart or other vital organs.
However it still is possible to die from getting shot in the shoulder.
If you get shot in the shoulder you could bleed and die from bleeding to death if the wound is not sealed up to prevent blood loss.
Or if the bullet is not removed from the shoulder and wound then you could get an infection of the wound in the shoulder which could then lead to death.
Getting shot in the shoulder allows you more time to get treatment but still you need to go to the emergency room even if you get shot in the shoulder.
The bullet needs removed and the wound cleaned etc.
