Melatonin is safe to take every night for at least 2 months.
However you should try going a few nights or so without taking melatonin but if you're still having trouble sleeping without the melatonin then you can continue taking the melatonin.
If you're having trouble sleeping without melatonin try changing your sleep schedule and go to sleep at the same time each night, avoid caffeine a few hours before bed, turn the TV and electronics off an hour before bed etc.
If you're still having trouble sleeping then see your doctor and they may want to prescribe you some prescription sleeping pills.
You should alternate between the melatonin and sleeping pills and try other natural sleep remedies.
melatonin pills are safe for short term use.
However if you continue taking melatonin pills they can become unhealthy and unsafe.
But melatonin pills are much safer to take long term than regular sleeping pills and melatonin pills are also less addictive and less habit forming than regular sleeping pills.
Our bodies naturally produce melatonin which is a natural sleep hormone that helps us fall asleep, stay asleep and wake up refreshed.
But sometimes our bodies may not produce enough melatonin and then we need to take some melatonin pills to increase our bodies melatonin levels.
It's okay and safe to take some melatonin pills for the short term but you should try to do other things to hopefully help you sleep.
