Yes you do need vaccinations for French Polynesia.

The vaccinations you need for French Polynesia are hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza.

For your health and others health you need to have those vaccinations before you enter French Polynesia.

Even if I were not required to have those vaccinations before entering French Polynesia I still would get the vaccinations for my own health.

I would not want to go to French Polynesia and get infected with any of those conditions and then not have the vaccinations.

I always get vaccinations before entering other countries whether they require them or not.
