Yes Goo Gone removes sap from a car and without damaging the paint.
You can apply Goo Gone to the sap on the car and then the sap should easily wipe away.
I use Goo Gone to remove sap from my car and it has never hurt the paint doing so.
You can also use some WD40 or Vinegar or even rubbing alcohol to clean sap off your car without damaging the car paint.
But I use Goo Gone to clean Sap and other hard to get off grime from my car and it works great without harming the paint at all.
