The most common signs and symptoms of a chest infection are if you start coughing up green or yellow mucus.
Another way to know if you may have a chest infection besides the green or yellow mucus is you may have wheezing and shortness of breath. chest pain or discomfort. a high temperature of 104 F or above.
If you think you have a chest infection you should see a doctor because you will need antibiotics to treat the chest infection to help it go away.
Some other common signs and symptoms of a chest infection are feeling confused and disorientated, rapid heartbeat, chest pain and/or tightness in the chest, breathlessness or rapid and shallow breathing and also a persistent cough that gets worse or does not go away.
If you do have a chest infection it sometimes may go away on it's own but it's best to see a doctor about the chest infection and get some antibiotics because in rare cases chest infections can become more serious.
