The periodontal pockets cannot be reversed but treatment can help slow the progression of the periodontal pockets.

It's important to keep the periodontal pockets from progressing and for those who do not have the periodontal pockets yet they should make sure to clean their teeth, gums and mouth to prevent the periodontal pockets and gum disease and tooth loss.

The periodontal pockets when left untreated can lead to tooth infections, gum disease and even eventual tooth decay and tooth loss.

So if you do have periodontal pockets or periodontal disease you need to go to the dentist if possible and have dental treatments for the periodontal pockets.

If the periodontal pockets are treated soon enough then the progression of the periodontal pockets can be slowed down and maybe even stopped from further progressing.

But you cannot reverse the periodontal pockets once they have started.
