Anyone else hate being a kid when you were a kid?

When I was a kid I always hated being a kid.

From the age of 5 years old I began hating being a kid and wish that time would speed up so I could grow into an adult.

I hated how adults talked down to me as a kid and hated having a bedtime, having to go everywhere my parents went, hated having to go to school, wear the clothes my parents bought me and have to attend family gatherings etc.

I actually also hated doing kids stuff and playing with kids toys.

Anyone else here hated being a kid?

I used to hear my family and parents say I should enjoy being a kid because it doesn't last long.

Actually to me the kid part of my life lasted too long and I don't miss being a kid at all.

Yes I did hate being a kid when I was a kid.

When I got to about 10 years old I would start wishing time would speed up so that I could be an adult and not have to go to school, listen to my parents, make my own money, live on my own etc.

I still do not wish to be a kid again and I do not miss anything about being a kid.

Sure as an adult we have to pay bills, go to work etc.

But it beats going to school and not earning any money for our time.

I also work for myself so I'm my own boss and set my own schedule.

If I don't want to work that day then I don't work.

Being a kid can be fun for some people but for me it was torture.

I don't mean my parents or anyone tortured me but I say it was torture because I was always thought of as dumb, being told what to do, going everywhere with my parents to places and events I did not want to go too etc.

I hated being controlled as well.
