Yes crown molding in a home is worth the cost to install and will make the home look very nice.
I bought a house that had no crown molding and after 3 years of living in the house I decided I wanted crown molding and had the crown molding professionally installed.
I spent around $1,500.00 to have the crown molding installed all through the house and it was well worth the cost and still is.
The house looked and looks much better with the addition of crown molding in the home and I wish I had gotten the crown molding installed sooner.
I've also heard that installing crown molding increases a homes value and I'm sure it does.
