Yes trich can be detected and diagnosed through urine samples.

In men the urine sample is how they usually find out if you have trich or not.

In woman the doctor will usually take a sample of vaginal fluid and test it for trich.

Also you can get trich from sharing towels with your partner without washing them first.

It's always best to just have separate towels for each other to prevent infections of trich as well as other infections.

The trich is most commonly transmitted sexually but it can be transmitted through contact with other things such as towels, clothing, bedding etc.

The trichomoniasis cannot be caused by a yeast infection.

The infection trichomoniasis is caused by a parasite and not a yeast infection.

The trichomoniasis is usually a bit more serious than a yeast infection but treatment can stop the trichomoniasis just like treatment can stop the yeast infection.

A woman can have trichomoniasis without knowing it for 6 months to as long as a year.

So you might have it and not know about it until a year later but usually the symptoms of trichomoniasis show up within 4 to 5 months of becoming infected with the parasite that causes trichomoniasis.

One partner can have trichomoniasis and not the other.

Your partner may have trichomoniasis for months and not know about it and then they may unknowingly transmit the trichomoniasis onto you.

You can also get trichomoniasis without cheating on your partner.

Your partner themselves may have the trichomoniasis without you or them knowing about it and then it gets transmitted to you when you have sex.

It's also entirely possible for a woman to get the trichomoniasis infection on her own even without a partner.

Yes it is possible for a woman get trichomoniasis on her own.

You can get trichomoniasis on your own by touching your genitals without washing your hands.

The trichomoniasis can be transmitted through touching surfaces such as a public toilet flush handle, bathroom door, faucet etc.

Most commonly the trichomoniasis is transmitted sexually and you may get it and have the trichomoniasis through a previous relationship.

Some woman can have trichomoniasis for months and not even know about it.

So while the trichomoniasis is usually contracted and transmitted sexually it is possible to get the trichomoniasis even without having sex or being sexually active.
