A Strawberry Tongue is the name for a Tongue that is Strawberry Red in color and swollen.
The Strawberry Tongue can be caused by allergies to certain medicines, some allergies to foods and even can be associated with some diseases.
When someone has Kawasaki Disease the Strawberry Tongue can come along with that as well.
Strawberry Tongue is also common with Scarlet Fever as well.
So if you notice a Strawberry Tongue then you should see a doctor to make sure you're not coming down with some other infection, are allergic to some medicines, foods or you have scarlet fever or Kawasaki Disease.
The Strawberry Tongue usually goes away on it's own and lasts only about 1 to 2 weeks depending on the cause of the Strawberry Tongue.
