The average lifespan of an elk is between 10 to 13 years in the wild.
It's possible for an elk even in the wild to live 15 years but most wild elks die within 13 years of being born.
Elks have a typical lifespan that is near the same amount of time as a larger dog has.
So if you think your lifespan is short an elk lifespan and dogs lifespan is much shorter.
However a Wolf has a shorter lifespan which is around 8 years but a Moose has a lifespan of between 15 to 25 years as long as it does not get hunted and killed.
So Elks have the shortest lifespan other than the Wolf.
