Yes grass does grow slower in the fall months than it does in the spring and summer.

When fall comes around the grass tends to grow much slower and then as winter approaches the grass tends to go dormant and then when spring comes around the grass then starts growing faster and by summer the grass grows even faster.

That is as long as you have enough moisture on the grass or are watering the grass.

If the grass does not get enough water then it can die in the summer months.

But as long as the grass gets plenty of water such as by rain or by watering the grass with a sprinkler then the grass should grow and grow faster in the spring and summer.

But as fall months come around you should notice that the grass starts growing slower which is normal.
