When you have blood in the vitreous it can take a few months to as long as 6 months sometimes for the blood in the vitreous to fully clear out.

Most cases of blood in the vitreous require no medical treatment and usually go away on their own.

However if the blood in the vitreous doesn't start clearing within a few months or so then see a doctor about it.

When you have blood in the vitreous you should see an eye doctor for treatment to help it clear up faster and to restore your vision.

Your vision with blood in the vitreous may be blurry for a few months and your eye doctor will follow up with you about the condition and treatments.

If the blood in the vitreous gets worse then you should see the eye doctor or go to the emergency room if it gets to be an emergency.
